In 1996, Mitsugi Arakawa, Sensei received 'Precepts of Rites of Ordination' into the Order of the Chen Yen Shingon Mikkyo-'Mi Ching'. He served the Kongoryu-Ji's head Priest , 'Roku-Ban Tomio No Otomo' for a number of years until he was asked to head his own Temple in the United States, as Senior Monk.

As Senior Monk, His Temple name of Ordination was changed from 'Mitsugi Arakawa', to 'Tenshin Arakawa, Shifu' (Master Father) Shichi-Ban Tomio No Otomo.
